Semi-Custom Print Methods

Our three primary print methods, plus available spot print options

Digital / Flat

Prints high quality ink to eggshell finish paper, with no indented impression. Ideal for watercolor and multi color designs. If you run your fingers over it, you feel the slight texture of the paper. Print time once approved: up to 3 weeks
letterpress

A plate of your design is inked with matte ink, then pressed into cotton paper, leaving a beautiful, touchable impression in pillowy soft cotton paper. If you run your fingers over it, you can feel the indentation.
Print time once approved: up to 7 weeks
foil printing

A plate of your design is hand-pressed with metallic foil into paper, leaving a shiny, touchable impression in pillowy soft cotton paper. If you run your fingers over it, you can feel the indentation.
Print time once approved: up to 7 weeks
blind press

Perfect for design elements such as crests, wreaths, borders and monograms! A plate is made of the specific detail you would like to have pressed, and it is pressed into the paper without ink, leaving an impression that is subtle but gorgeous. May be combined with any print method.
spot foil

An ideal way to have a touch of shine without foil for the entire piece. Add spot foil to just your monogram, your names, a border, or crest. May be combined with any print method!

Semi-Custom Paper Selection

Available color, thickness, and finishes for our semi-custom suites

White or Ivory

White is a true bright white, while ivory is a soft white. Ivory is not a yellow toned paper. Both hold ink color extremely well, and your envelopes will match your paper color.
Single or Double Ply

Single ply is a substantial, 120 pound paper. Double ply is 240 pound, twice the thickness of single ply. When choosing the paper weight, it is truly a personal preference.
Paper Types

For digital printing, we use Mohawk eggshell finish paper which holds ink beautifully. For letterpress and foil pieces, we use 100% cotton for a perfectly pillowy impression.
